Unfortunately, it was a lot colder this weekend. After two minutes on the bike, it was obvious that my hands were going to suffer. I was wearing my Lycra shorts and a thin jacket, but I knew that my body would warm up. However, my hands, even clad in Sealskin waterproof winter gloves, were simply going to get colder and colder...
I gave myself until the 8 mile mark to see if I had warmed up enough to carry on, but by the time I'd done those 8 miles my hands were completely numb and I couldn't use the brakes properly. I tried to persevere but at just over 9 miles, when faced with an A road, I called it a day and turned round.

It took over an hour at home, under a thick blanket with my gloves still on, to get the feeling back in my hands. Bad circulation perhaps?

The rest of the day was good with some very tasty food, some DIY with Eric and even some weight-lifting. Curry and cava resulted in me taking a little power-nap at about 8 o'clock...
